IP Key China will partner with CAASA (China Anti-infringement and Anti-counterfeiting Innovation Strategic Alliance) in the organisation of the 2018 China-EU Conference on Innovation and Online IP Protection, which will take place in the Xiamen International Conference Centre (Fujian province).
The themes of the conference are “Innovation ＆ Online IP Right Protection”, with emphasis on the protection of IP Rights in the online environment, promotion of collaboration between Chinese and European IP Right owners and intermediaries in the development of international best practices.
Ms Andrea Caballe, Project Manager & IP Expert of the China IPR helpdesk will deliver detailed presentations on Forum D—Trade Secret Protection and Forum F—Leveraging IP for Market Access. China –EU SMEs’ Exchange on IPR Issues in this conference. Forum D is practice-oriented and will focus on the protection of trade secrets and confidential business information in the digital economy. The focus of Forum F is SMEs from China and EU to discuss problems faced on China’s and EU markets, as well as possible solutions - support from governments and publicly funded projects – role of industry associations, IPR agencies and service providers.

About the IP expert:
Ms Andrea Caballe, an IP Expert at the China IPR SME Helpdesk, is an experienced lawyer who graduated from Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and proceeded to become a qualified lawyer with the Barcelona Bar Association in Spain. Before joining EUCCC, she worked at several law firms, most recently at the Beijing office of Schmitt & Orlov, an international Intellectual Property firm where she specialised in IP enforcement strategies for foreign companies. In her current position, she provides first line advice to European SME, as well as IP training. She has been a resident in Beijing for more than six years.
